As Özel Mersin Academy Hospital, the health and comfort of our patients, their companions, and visitors are very important to us. In order to provide the most suitable service to our patients and meet their treatment and care needs promptly, it is essential to comply with the hospital rules. We would like to remind you that your opinions and comfort in the hospital are as important to us as your health, and we thank you in advance for the sensitivity you show regarding the information provided.
One of the beautiful examples of social solidarity, patient visits, when done properly, can boost your patient's morale and positively affect the recovery process. It also allows you to obtain information about your patient's health condition.
Visitor Rules
- Patient visits are allowed in our hospital every day between 08:00 and 22:00. These hours have been arranged considering the patients' care and sleep times.
- To ensure the health of our patients and the continuity of their treatments, scented food and beverages brought by visitors from outside are not accepted.

- To prevent the risk of infection, visitors should not use the patient's belongings or sit on the patient's bed.
- To ensure your patient's health, visitor duration should be kept short.
- To ensure the comfort of other patients receiving treatment in our hospital, no more than two visitors should enter the patient’s room, and noise should be avoided.
- During the patient's treatment and examination, visitors are expected to leave the room and respect the patient's privacy
- Hands must be washed before and after the visit.
- If a patient's visit has been prohibited by the doctor for medical reasons, visitors should not insist on visiting. If you see a 'No Visiting' sign on the patient's room door, do not enter the room without consulting the nurse.
- To protect our patients from infection, flowers are not accepted in patient rooms.
- Visitors are strictly prohibited from smoking inside the hospital and in areas other than those designated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey.
- Visitor entries will be through the main entrance until 18:00 on weekdays, and through the emergency entrance during other time periods.
Accompaniment Rules
- Suitable conditions have been provided for companions to stay in our hospital.
- Your doctor will inform you whether your patient requires a companion.
- Companions must comply with all the rules of our hospital.
- Companions should only assist with the care of their patients to the extent permitted by the doctor and nurse.
- Companions should not perform any procedures without the knowledge of the doctor and nurse for the patient's safety.
- Companions must adhere to the patient care training rules provided by the nurses. (Hand hygiene, fall risk training)
- In case of leaving the patient's side and during companion changes, they must inform the nurse.
- To ensure a peaceful environment for you and your patient, please refrain from speaking loudly, making noise in patient rooms and service corridors, and use the televisions in your rooms in a manner that does not disturb others.
- Companions should not take patients outside the hospital or change their beds without the request of the attending doctor or nurse.
- Companions should not use tobacco or alcohol within the areas designated by the Ministry of Health.
